Macaroni with Soy Grit Sauce

Ingredients (ca 3 people):

  • 100 ml cold pressed soy grits
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 300 ml water
  • ½ tablespoon oregano
  • ½ tablespoon basil
  • 1 onion
  • 100 ml green peas
  • 1 can of crushed tomatoes (400 g)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • About 2 tsp salt

Add the soy grits in a pot or a pan with finely chopped onion, oregano and basil. Add the soy sauce. Turn on the heat and cook for a few minutes over medium heat. Add the peas and let it sizzle couple of minutes more, stirring occasionally. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water and salt. Let it boil for about ten minutes. Serve with any kind of pasta.
